St. Francis De Sales School is a Catholic School conducted by the missionaries of St. Francis De Sales. It was established in the year 1979. It runs classes from Nursery to Class XII and is recognized by the Nagaland Board of School Education since 1984. Our patron St. Francis De Sales said, “Knowledge is the eighth sacrament”. Our Founder Fr. Peter Mermier stressed the need for education of heart rather than the mind. Convinced of these teachings, we realized of our role and responsibility in leading our students, teachers and parents towards and integrated education and human growth. It is said, “Education of the heart is the heart of the education.” today we realize more than ever, the need for the transformation of the whole person through and integrated education and cultural enhancement. Thus the institution tries to provide facilities not only for studies but also for games, sports as well as a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. In spite if the limited facilities, constant encouragement is given to the students to take part in all these activities

Points For Students To Remember

1. Never omit the lesson or homework assigned. If you do, it is like missing a train that you can never catch afterwards.
2. Always revise the work done in class. Do not consider this as special assignment.
3. Never postpone what you can do today.
4. Be enthusiastic in doing everything. Live well by doing well everything.
5. Daily show your school dairy to your parents and get them to initial it.
6. Take part in games. Recreation serves to refresh your mind and gives you new energy for study.
7. Do not flinch in face of difficulties in your studies. Remember, a prayer to God for light will always help. Your teacher will help you too.
8. When studying, keep your mind only on your book. Do not take on many extra activities that may hamper your studies.
